My car is a 1993 honda civic lx. I put a new water pump, timing belt, and head gasket in. However now when my car sits to long it takes a few tries for the car to turn over. Also, when I am driving when press down on the gas at a certain point i hear a very faint squealing noise. Help?!

Yes, the BlueDevil Rear Main Sealer is 100% safe to use in your Chevy Cruze. You should expect to start seeing results after 100-200 miles of driving.

Will I have heater core problems used BlueDevil in my 1970 Lincoln 460 CID for head gasket leak so far it works but everyone I spoke to say to remove ASAP so far car runs great some say it works better in older cars than newer. This car is a classic that I show I only drive for long distance no city driving but I hadn’t have to use the heater yet .Before I put in your product heat was fine .Also where does the stuff go after the leak are sealed .The bottle said second flush was not needed.Look forward to your reply. Thanks

Hi my name is Jamal I have a 03 ford explorer Eddie bauer edition with a v8 .I’m getting the chocolate milk look in my oil cap I believe I am getting coolant in my oil.how much blue devil should I use?and do I have to change the thermostat?

      • BlueDevil Pro on February 16, 2021 at 8:47 am

        Jamal-

You would need 32 oz. of the BlueDevil Head Gasket Sealer to treat your Ford Explorer. You may use either of the Head Gasket Sealers that we manufacture. The “Pour N Go” (16 oz./white label) is an easy to use, less concentrated formula that does not require the removal of the thermostat or a flush of the cooling system prior to use. Whereas the “Mechanic Approved” (32 oz./yellow label) requires both the removal of the thermostat and a flush before applying the product; the 32 ounce (yellow label) is the more concentrated formula. The product with the yellow label will give you best overall results as long as you are willing to remove the thermostat and flush the system prior to use.

        Thank you!

I have a 1993 mazda b2200 2.2 4 cylinder. I’m getting too much pressure in my cooling system. the coolant is being pushed out into the overflow. water pump, thermostat and radiator cap or new. I think I have a head gasket problem. Can your product fix this problem.

    • BlueDevil Pro on October 27, 2014 at 2:55 pm

      Larry-

As you mentioned, it sounds like the vehicle is getting combustion/exhaust gases blowing into the cooling system and creating pressure. We would recommend using the BlueDevil Head Gasket Sealer.

To give yourself the best overall chance of BlueDevil working successfully, in addition to the directions, you should remove the spark plug from the cylinder with the leak. If you are not sure which one that is, you may pull all of the spark plugs and will notice one will have a white-crystal-like substance on it and/or may look dirty; this is the plug you should pull. Leave that plug out for the 50 minute idle in order to relieve the pressure from building up and thus allowing the product to seal properly.

Feel free to contact us with any questions (888.863.0426).

I have a 2001 F250 with 7.3L powerstroke diesel. Through various tests and diagnostics, am 99.9% certain I have an injector cup leaking. I was going to pull injector and set new sleeve but someone recommended trying the blue devil sealer. They used it before and it sealed leaking cup and 100k miles later it’s still running good. What’s your thoughts? Is there a risk?

        • BlueDevil Pro on June 14, 2023 at 9:09 am

          Shane-

Thank you for asking about your Ford F-250. The BlueDevil Head Gasket Sealer is specifically intended for water/coolant leaks. Unfortunately, it would not be able to stop a fuel leak. Replacing the injector cup may be your best option.

My partner and just replaced the radtior and hoses and thermostate last week
and we are still leaking antifreeze? Also it stays around 210 on the temp gage but never any higher and the car has be hotter then what the temp says why could be wrong

    • BlueDevil Pro on March 2, 2016 at 12:06 pm

      Heather-

We recommend using BlueDevil Head Gasket Sealer for your vehicle.

It sounds like the vehicle may be getting combustion/exhaust gases blowing into the cooling system and creating pressure. To give yourself the best overall chance of BlueDevil working successfully, in addition to the directions, you should remove the spark plug from the cylinder with the leak; this will be the spark plug from the cylinder with the low compression reading. Be sure to follow the guidelines for the proper amount to use based on the size of your cooling system.

      Thank you!

    (’07 Honda V6 Accord)
Hi.. The little metal 10mm power steering return line that runs along just underneath my radiator has a small kink in it from when I ran up on a curb recently. Every since, I’ve notices that on a cold start only, I get the nosey whining noise for about 5mins then goes away! My guess is that air is seeping into the line thru the small kink thats in it now. (it may be only a 10mm hose, but the small kink is substantial enough to maybe of punctured a tiny hole near the kink as well…) Haven’t noticed any increased trouble with turning the wheel either.. Just the brief noise when starting my cold engine.

Will your Blue Devil Power Steering Leak Stop be a good remedy for this problem or is it only made for repairing leaking seals, etc.?!? Thank you!

    • BlueDevil Pro on March 9, 2016 at 10:58 am

      Brandon-

Unfortunately, we do not manufacture any products that are intended to fix the type of leak you are experiencing. The BlueDevil Power Steering Stop Leak is specifically designed to stop fluid loss from any rubber seal or gasket.

The only solution may be to have the hose replaced.

I have a 2007 Ford Focus, my power steering started to get that bad whine at about 120,000 miles so I replaced it. It worked great the first day and then the next day it didn’t make any noise at all and just stopped working, there’s no sound or anything it just takes all my strength to turn. I put it on jack stands and it turns easy enough but the fluid doesn’t rise or fall, what can I do next?

    • BlueDevil Pro on May 10, 2016 at 7:16 pm

      James,

Thanks for your question about your 2007 Ford Focus. For you system to suddenly fail like that without any other sound or warning you may have a broken belt or a pump with a broken pulley. Try checking under your hood and seeing there is anything obviously out of place. If the new power steering pump looks fine, then the problem must be internal to your power steering rack. It is possible that when your old power steering pump was going bad it allowed particles or debris into your system that caused an internal failure in your power steering rack. That would explain the difficulty in turning and the lack of fluid flow in the reservoir when turning your steering wheel.

      Thanks again for your question!

I have a 2006 Toyota Camry, I recently noticed that when I start my car after it sits for a while or over night, white smoke comes from the tail pipe. Car runs fine, not over heating. I have noticed that it trembles when I turn on the a/c. Had it checked out, does not seem to be losing oil or coolant, but a dye test was done on it. I was told that the oil and coolant was mixing. No milky oil. Can your product fix this problem?

    • BlueDevil Pro on June 17, 2016 at 11:39 am

      Shae-

Thank you for asking about your Toyota Camry. If the vehicle was diagnosed as the oil and coolant mixing, and there is no water/coolant in the oil, the oil may be getting into the radiator or other part of the cooling system. The BlueDevil Head Gasket Sealer is only intended for water/coolant leaks. Unfortunately, we do not manufacture a product for this type of a leak. A hard part repair may be your best option.

      Hope this helps!

Hi I have a 2006 Ford F450 with a 6.0 turbo diesel. Currently there is a leak in the head gasket at some point along the cooling channel of the fuel injectors and the fuel diesel is leaking into the cooling system.
According to the directions on the bottle it seems though as if you need to have the cooling system completely free of contaminants i.e. Coolant, for the blue devil head gasket product to work? I can flush out my cooling system however within a certain timeframe unknown time at this point but the coolant will get contaminated or the flushed system will be contaminated with diesel fuel, and I’m wondering if the product will still work under the conditions that the cooling system will get contaminated with diesel fuel. Or do you think it’s possible that the blue devil product will seal the leak for the diesel fuel leaking into the cooling system before it gets over contaminated with diesel fuel?

    • BlueDevil Pro on October 18, 2016 at 2:31 pm

      Joey-

Thank you for asking about your Ford F450. Have you confirmed this as a head gasket leak? Based on your description, it sounds like you may have cracked injector cups. Unfortunately, we do not recommend using the BlueDevil Head Gasket Sealer for this type of leak. We recommend bringing the vehicle to a certified ASE mechanic for a proper diagnosis. Some shops actually have a special tool to pull the injector cups to replace them without having to remove the heads. Feel free to contact us at 888-863-0426 with any other questions.

    • BD Auto Pro on August 6, 2018 at 8:14 pm

      Carol,

Thanks for your question about your 2011 Juke. Since your air is working and stopping suddenly our guess would be that the problem isn’t with a loss of refrigerant, but an electrical problem either with your air conditioning system or with your ventilation fan. If the fan isn’t blowing any air from the vents the that is your first problem to get fixed. If that fan isn’t blowing then it isn’t getting power either from the fan switch through a resistor if you have manual fan control, or through the ventilation module if you have automatic climate control in your car. If the fan is blowing, but the air coming out is warm, then the problem is with your air conditioning system. It could be a bad sensor, a bad compressor clutch or a short or break in one of the wires controlling those components.

      Thanks again for your question!

I have a 1996 Mercury Sable and when i turn or go over bumps on the front right side it makes like a popping sound?

    • BlueDevil Pro on May 15, 2019 at 11:48 am

      Sara-

Thank you for asking about your Mercury Sable. The noise you are hearing could be due to something being loose in the suspension. A popping or clicking noise when turning is a symptom of a bad outer CV joint. If the CV joint is noisy, it needs to be replaced. Also, some worn wheel bearings can often be detected by rocking the vehicle from side to side at low speeds with the steering wheel.

      Hope this helps!

    • BlueDevil Pro on May 31, 2019 at 9:00 am

      Ken-

Thank you for asking about your Chevy Cruze. Based on your description, it sounds possible that you are getting combustion/exhaust gases pumping back into the cooling system. You can use a “Block Dye Tester” to confirm whether or not that is the case.
BlueDevil Head Gasket Sealer will still work if your vehicle is getting combustion/exhaust gases blowing into the cooling system and creating pressure. To give yourself the best overall chance of BlueDevil working successfully, in addition to the directions, you should remove the spark plug from the cylinder with the leak; this will be the spark plug from the cylinder with the low compression reading. Leave that plug out for the 50 minute idle in order to relieve the pressure from building up and thus allowing the product to seal properly. Be sure to follow the guidelines for the proper amount to use based on the size of your cooling system.

I have taken my 2005 Jaguar s-type 4.2 w/82,300 miles to three mechanics. The first one said this car has some serious oil leaking and advised that I take it to a Jaguar mechanic. I then took it to a foreign car mechanic who diagnosed the problem as a timing chain cover leak but was not in a position to do the repairs. The third foreign car repair mechanic specializes in European cars, including Jaguar. They poured a dye into the oil and used a UV light to see where the oil was coming from and they, too, confirmed it was a timing chain cover leak. The labor alone is stated at $1,700 and parts and fees = $550.00. Parts replaced: crankshaft seal; two timing cover gaskets; two valve cover gaskets; an ACC tensioner; spark plug seal; 8 spark plugs; and one drive belt.

You can guarantee that by using your Blue Devil Oil Stop Leak, I can eliminate my oil leak and not have any further problems??? How is this possible? Please make me confident in this approach.

    Thanks,

    • BlueDevil Pro on August 5, 2019 at 11:51 am

      Steve-

Thank you for asking about your Jaguar S-type. As the long as the leak you are experiencing isn’t more than seeping or lightly dripping, you would be a good candidate for the BlueDevil Oil Stop Leak. The product does not harden or thicken in anyway, so it would not cause any harm to the engine. The product also carries a money-back guarantee. If it is unable to seal for whatever reason, you are able to contact us and be refunded for your purchase. Absolutely worth it to give the product a try.

      Thank you!

I have a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix when I started it drives smoothly shift gears smoothly when I cut it off and restart it it doesn’t shift at all do you know what the problem could possibly be

    • BlueDevil Pro on July 14, 2020 at 8:33 am

      Gwappo-

Thank you for asking about your Pontiac Grand Prix. In a situation like this, The best place to start would be to flush your transmission, change the fluid along with the filter and then double check to make sure the fluid level is correct. Having dirty/old transmission fluid or the fluid level too high or too low can cause the transmission to act up and not function properly. If you are still experiencing the same shifting issues after changing the fluid and filter and topping it off to the proper level then you may want to have your vehicle looked at by a transmission specialist.

      Thank you!

Yes, the BlueDevil Oil Stop Leak is safe and compatible to use on your Ford F-350 Diesel engine. You should expect to start seeing results after approximately 100-200 miles of driving.

Is there a blue devil product that will repair my head gasket leak. It’s leaking oil externally and dripping onto my driveway.

    • BlueDevil Pro on September 4, 2020 at 8:48 am

      Dave-

Unfortunately, we do not manufacture any products that will work to stop oil from leaking from the head gasket. Replacing the head gasket may be the best option in this case.

      Thank you!

i just used your rear main sealer as it was leaving and orange size pool of oil after every drive. after 100km of driving and 1 hour idle, the leak has completely stopped. excellent product!!!!! and i’ve never left a review of anything before.

    • BlueDevil Pro on December 2, 2020 at 10:04 am

      Ben-

Thank you for sharing! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your feedback and glad to hear that the BlueDevil Rear Main Sealer was able to seal your leak. Once the product seals, it would be a permanent seal, so you should be good to go at this point.

      Thank you!

I have a 2010 chevy cruze and there is no radiator cap. Only a reservoir cap. Should I pour this into the coolant reservoir?

    • BlueDevil Pro on December 14, 2020 at 9:15 am

      Garry-

Thank you for asking about your Chevy Cruze. If your vehicle only has a reservoir/overflow rather than a radiator cap, instead of pouring BlueDevil through the reservoir/overflow, with the car off and engine cold you should disconnect the top radiator hose and add the product there; do not pour it into the reservoir. It may be added into the hose or the opening on the radiator. Once BlueDevil has been added, reconnect the hose and start the idle from that point.

      Thank you!

I have a 2007 mustang v6 4.0 sohc. The engine jumped time and bent the valve in the head. So i lapped and replaced all the valves, replaced the entire timing chain system, and of course replaced the headgaskets and head bolts. Well when i start the car it it pours smoke out the exhaust. I assume its oil thats being burned because the oil level drops almost to empty after about 5 to 10 miles of driving. Will your blue devil headgasket sealer work to repair this problem?

    • BlueDevil Pro on January 13, 2021 at 7:53 am

      Jodie-

Thank you for asking about your Ford Mustang. BlueDevil Head Gasket Sealer is only intended to treat water/coolant leaks. Unfortunately, we do not manufacture a product intended to stop oil leaks from the head gasket. What color is the smoke that is coming out of the exhaust? Keep in mind, a blue smoke would indicate oil burning where as a white smoke/steam would indicate water/coolant burning

      Thank you!

Can Blue Devil Pro, which I bought to eliminate a meal in my power steering fluid, also be used to tackle problems with leaking engine oil? Or di I need another Blue Devil product?

    • BlueDevil Pro on January 18, 2021 at 8:19 am

      Nick-

Yes, the BlueDevil PRO Universal Leak Repair would be able to treat an engine oil leak. You would use one oz. of the product per quart of oil in the system. Expect to see results after 200 miles of driving. If the leak persists, a second application may be added.

      Thank you!

Hello. I have a 2015 Chevy Cruze that only has a reservoir to add coolant and it must be added to the radiator by removing a hose. For some odd reason, I cannot find anything online that states the capacity of the radiator… everything is about how much the reservoir can hold. I was just wondering if you know how much Blue Devil I will need to add to the 2015 Cruze?

    Thank you!
    Al

    • BlueDevil Pro on February 28, 2022 at 8:24 am

      Al-

Thank you for asking about your Chevy Cruze. If your vehicle only has a reservoir/expansion tank rather than a radiator cap, instead of pouring BlueDevil through the reservoir/expansion tank, with the car off and engine cold you should disconnect the top radiator hose and add the product there; do not pour it into the reservoir. It may be added into the hose or the opening on the radiator. Once BlueDevil has been added, reconnect the hose and start the idle from that point.
You will be adding 16 oz. of the BlueDevil for your vehicle. Feel free to contact our technical support line at 888-863-0426 with any other questions.
